The scheme of “Vocationalisation of Higher Secondary Education”, approved in Sep 2011, was revised with the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Skill Development on 12.02.2014.The revised scheme is now known as “Vocationalisation of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education”.Sectors are: information technology (IT)/information technology enabled services (ITeS), automotive and security and retail. The sectors have now been expanded to include travel and tourism, healthcare, beauty and wellness, physical education and training and gems and jewellery Sector.

What is Automobile?
Automobile Engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with designing, manufacturing and operating automobiles. It is a segment of vehicle engineering which deals with motorcycles, buses, trucks, etc.
It includes mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety elements and Automotive engineers design, develop and manufacture vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, buses and trucks and their engineering systems. You will need to have a combination of engineering and commercial skills to be able to deliver projects within budget.
